Optical networks
Open and disaggregated optical networks for access and aggregation, metro and long haul.
← Communications service providersOpen and disaggregated optical networks
Open and disaggregated solutions, from compact modular platforms to open carrier-class software, to build flexible networks, speed up innovation cycles and break the lock-in of traditional transport solutions.
It includes application-centric software tools that are easy to use and deploy, such as Instant Bandwidth, self-tuning lambdas and intelligent autonomous transmission.
Access and aggregation
ICE-X marks a turning point in optical transceivers: it uses digital signal processing to subdivide the wavelength spectrum into smaller channels called digital subcarriers.
An optical hub module generates up to 16 digital subcarriers of 25 Gb/s, which can be assigned to a destination individually or in multiples to provide the required bandwidth.
Metro / XTM
- Layers 0/1/2/2.5
- Fixed and/or flexible grids
- Multi-rate, up to 100G clients
- Multi-service: Ethernet, CPRI, SONET/SDH, OTN, Fibre Channel
- Multi-reach, up to 2,000 km
- Low-power, high-density design
- CWDM and/or DWDM
- Metro and long haul (GX)
